Join us this Thursday as we welcome Matt Strauss

Matt is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ob Portu Ventures, a real estate consulting and venture capital firm providing homebuilder support from deal origination through exit, as well as a source for community-driven alternative investment opportunities. Prior to pursuing an entrepreneurial path, Matt led land acquisition underwriting and supported project entitlement management for publicly traded Taylor Morrison (NYSE: TMHC) where he supported corporate approval of over 5500 residential lots both locally and across the state. Matt is a graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with degrees in Finance and Business Analytics.

Matt was raised in the Lakewood Ranch / Sarasota area and has been able to observe tremendous cycles of economic development, from boom to crash to recovery, and thus holds a unique perspective regarding how far this market has come and a bullish outlook regarding what the future may hold.

Thursday’s meeting will cover nuances of residential development, an economic review of where the market sits today, and future growth corridors in the region.
